Deer Trail

Good Ol’ Deer Trail
Ricky Cordingly

Good mornin’ my friends let’s go out for a stroll
In the crisp mornin’ air where the dew is so cold
Back in the holler beneath the old pine there’s a trail
that runs to the beginning of time

There’s Chippy the chipmunk and Flappy the deer
If you get lucky you may see that bear
So come out and see mister skunks giant tail
Enjoy all the critters on the good ol’ Deer Trail

Mister Grey the old owl he comes out at night
He gives Thumpy the rabbit a terrible fright
There’s squirrels that are flyin’ to that feed pail
Enjoy all the critters on the good ol’ Deer Trail
An' enjoy all the critters on that good ol’ Deer Trail!

Good morning my friends let us go out for a stroll

Enjoy all the critters on the good old Deer Trail
And enjoy all the critters on that good old Deer Trail!

Note:
Holler / hollow (wooded area)
Capital words like Flappy are names of the animals and may not translate correctly.
Chippy – chip
Flappy – flap
Thumpy - Thump

Adding “y” at the end combines the name with “happy"     :)
